the Managing Director/ Chief Executive of Nigerian Communications Satellite
Limited.
Ahmed-Rufai has handled very strategic and challenging tasks in the Science &
Technology industry across Africa and Asia. At NIGCOMSAT, he is focused on
continuously improving operations and on creating new revenue growth for the
company through enhanced communications service offerings for customers in the
telecommunications, government, media sectors etc.
Ahmed-Rufai is a member of several notable International professional bodies
among which are: The Institution of Engineering & Technology; Society of
Satellite Professionals International (SSPI); National Space Society; American
Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA); Society of Manufacturing
Engineers and Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers. He holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He also attended Ogun State
University between 1997 and 1998 where he obtained an MBA in Technology
Management. Ahmed-Rufai also attended the prestigious Harvard Business School
where he obtained the Executive Certificate in Advanced Management Programme.
Other educational institutions attended by Engr. Ahmed-Rufai are SMS University
in Sweden and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Oroge has extensive professional experience within the space industry. He
commenced as a Chief Planning Officer in the National Space Research and
Development Agency from 2003-2006, he was later appointed as Director Support
Services, NIGCOMSAT Ltd in 2006. He has a HND in Mechanical Engineering
(Production) 1980 and an MBA from the University of Ibadan.

Abimbola’s professional experience in the Space Industry began with the National
Space Research and Development Agency in 2001 where she was given the
opportunity to actively represent Nigeria in the works of Technical
Sub-committee of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). In
2004, Abimbola was appointed Assistant Project Manager of NIGCOMSAT-1; she was
appointed as Director, Marketing,

NIGCOMSAT Limited in 2006. She has an MSc in Space Studies from the
International Space University, Strasbourg, France and a B.MR, Physiotherapy
from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
